If you need tips about beating the Xyfrag, you've come to the right place!
As far as I know, The weapon ENERGY CLEAVER is the only way you can defeat the Xyfrag quicker. You can find it in the Beginner Weapons section in Yulgar's shop.

You call this a guide?
You need to include more detail, like give out Xyfrag's stats and the recommended stats for being able to defeat him. For example, I am assuming I don't know his defense modifier, and I am also assuming I don't even know what level he's on....
You've got to be more specific.
There are different kinds of Xyfrags, one level 50, 60, and 70. There may be more but I am not sure. ALL of his defense modifiers are 10 % so if you don't use the energy cleaver, you will hit for really low damage (and I guarantee, the Zyfrag has at least 2000 Hit Points).

Or just pray for the Death ability from the BLADE OF AWE (if you have the BLADE OF AWE).

From now on, NIGHTSTALKER, please include more detailed guides to defeating monsters.
For the pets I used against the Xyfrag, I used the truffle level 40 and the sidekick I think the 2 moglins that can freeze people.

The Xyfrag has 1 attack that hits 3 times (Water Ranged) I think.
The Xyfrag also has 1 attack that hits 2 times (Water Melee) I think.
